I'm a professor of Computer Science, Complexity and Design at the Polytechnic Arts and Design School in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal. I'm also member of the Centre for Complexity and Design research group of the Open University in the UK. My PhD is in Complex Systems with a study of structure of online news. My research interests include distributed multilevel complex systems and bio-inspired computational modelling.
